Adding a File Attachment

Files can be attached to or edited on the current Issue, Action, or Subtask. The file will be stored securely within the CATSWeb database and may be downloaded by other users.
  • Adding: By clicking on the standard Attach File button on an Issue, Action or Subtask. An Add Attachment page is displayed that allows a file to be uploaded.

    The entry fields are:
    • File - Specifies the file to upload and attach. This field will be filled in automatically when you use the file selection button that appears next to the field (typically labelled Browse but may appear differently depending on type of browser).

      NOTE: If you do not see a file selection button, then your web browser does not support file uploads and you will not be able to attach files. Obtain and install an upgraded web browser.

    • Description - A short description of the file.

    • Notes - Comments about the file.

  • Editing/Deleting: By clicking on the Edit button that is displayed below the File Attachment.

  • Drag and Drop File Attachments - Files can be selected, dragged and dropped to add or edit the attachment.
