Users may choose to link Issues, Actions and Subtasks to other URLs on the Internet/intranet. Each link can contain a graphic. The availability and description of the graphics available are managed via clicking Link Graphics in the Connectivity and Escalation section of the Manage page.
The Link Graphics page lists the available link graphics along with their current captions and the order that they will appear on the CATSWeb Add Link form. Click a graphic to view and edit its attributes, which include:
- Filename - The link graphic filename on the web server field (non-editable).
- Order - This numeric value specifies the order in which the graphic appears within the link graphic selections on the Add Link form. When editing the field order, it is desirable to use increments of 10 or 20 (or more) so that a graphic may be later inserted between two existing graphics in the ordering sequence. CATSWeb ignores missing numeric values, and places the graphics in ascending order given whatever non-zero values are present.
- Caption - The caption that will appear next to the link graphic in the selection list forms (100 characters max).
- Description - A description of the graphic (255 characters max). This description is presented to the user in the link graphic selection list when their mouse is floated over the graphic (it is the value of the HTML ALT parameter for the graphic).
- Available for Issues - Check this box to make the link graphic available when a user is adding a link to an Issue record.
- Available for Actions - Check this box to make the link graphic available when a user is adding a link to an Action record.
- Available for Subtasks - Check this box to make the link graphic available when a user is adding a link to a Subtask record.
