The Web Services Management Page is the main page for managing:
- Web Services - Web Services are sets of operations that form an API (Application Programming Interface) that may be called across the intranet or Internet. You may create many Web Services, each optimized for different web service consumers or applications. If your system does not include the Web Services API option, this link will not appear.
- Web Service Providers - Web Service Providers are utilized by Web Service Data Links and enable CATSWeb to call out to external Web Services. Web Service Providers are implemented as binary components that execute on your web server(s), and are loosely coupled with CATSWeb. If your system does not include the Web Service Data Links option, this link will not appear.
- Web Service Credentials - Web Service Credentials may be used with Web Service Providers to store login and related information for external Web Services. The credentials may be mapped to CATSWeb users or groups of users. If a Web Service Provider requires credential information to be supplied, manage that information here.
