Cookies CATSWeb requires that cookies be enabled in your browser. This is the default setting for most browsers. A great deal of misinformation has circulated about what cookies can and can't do, causing many people to disable their usage. The following are popular myths and are not true:
In reality, cookies are small files containing information that web sites create on your computer and use to improve your browsing experience. A cookie created by a web site can only be read by that site. Other sites have no means of accessing the information in the cookie. CATSWeb will store two pieces of information in a cookie on your machine: your login name and your current session ID. This information requires less than 50 bytes. JavaScript CATSWeb may require that javascript be enabled in your browser. Some features and components may require javascript to function properly. |
